Hyderabad Schools Take Part in Cross-Border Peace Event
A feature of the programme was the co-creation of videos using technology to bring together teams from Bhutan, India and Pakistan on digital stages
Hyderabad: More than 15 schools and colleges in Hyderabad participated in the second Southasian Commemoration of Doyens of Peace on Wednesday, with students joining an eight-hour online event and interacting with panellists and moderators from across South Asia.
The programme, themed “Digital Stages- Shared Heritage: Youth Connecting Southasia through Culture and Tech”, featured 190 videos and co-created videos of dances and songs by artists from Bhutan, India and Pakistan.
The event commemorated the contributions of former Indian Navy chief Admiral Ramdas, Pakistan labour rights and peace activist Karamat Ali and Indian peace activist Tapan Bose towards the promotion of peace in South Asia.

Juveria and Irma of Pakistan performed Kathak, Odissi and Manipuri dances, while Nihita and Pranava of India sang “Bol Ke Lab Azaad Hai Tere”!
