Hyderabad: A businessman was found dead in suspicious circumstances near a lakeside area in Gundlapochampally on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nemaram Chowdary, a resident of Gundlapochampally. According to police, Chowdary had left his house carrying Rs 10 lakh and subsequently went missing.
After he failed to return home, his family members approached the police and lodged a missing-person complaint.
On Monday morning, Chowdary’s body was found near a lakeside area. Police suspect that the cash he was carrying was missing and are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death from all possible angles, including whether he was murdered.
The body was shifted to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police are questioning the family members and gathering further information to establish the exact cause of death.
Chowdary is survived by his wife and four children. Further details are awaited.
