HMWS&SB Fines Jubilee Hills Property Owner ₹5,000 for Wasting Drinking Water

Hyderabad:The HMWS&SB imposed a penalty of Rs 5,000 on a property owner in Road No. 33, Jubilee Hills for wasting potable water. The penalty is to be paid within seven days of receiving the notice.
Citing the Water Board Act, 1989, officials emphasised the need for the judicious use of water.
They warned that any recurrence of water wastage will lead to the disconnection of drinking water and sewage lines under Section 42, in addition to further legal action.
