Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Monday sought the state’s response to a plea filed by advocate Bommaraju Narsing, who has sought police protection citing threat to his life. He stated that he has been facing sustained intimidation since he approached the High Court highlighting alleged irregularities in the Group-I preliminary examination conducted in 2023.
The matter came up before Justice N. Tukaramji, who directed the assistant government counsel for home to obtain instructions from the authorities and report back. The court posted the case for further hearing on February 9. The petitioner submitted that his challenge to the alleged irregularities eventually led to the cancellation of the examination. He further claimed that following the court’s intervention, he became a target of threats, allegedly from candidates who had qualified in the now-scrapped test.
