GHMC Reviews Ganesh Utsav Arrangements
GHMC reviewed Ganesh Utsav arrangements, including sanitation, procession routes, road repairs, lighting, parking and immersion facilities.
GHMC commissioner R.V. Karnan assured the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi of support and coordination with departments including city police, HMWS&SB, HMDA, HYDRAA, TGSPDCL, TGTRANSCO, R&B, traffic police and the health department for the upcoming festival. He was speaking at a The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation held a coordination meeting with stakeholders of Ganesh Utsav on Monday, appealing to citizens to use eco‑friendly clay idols to protect water bodies.
He said works related to sanitation, road repairs, crane positioning, barricading, lighting and parking would be completed in time. The meeting reviewed the procession route from Balapur to Tank Bund, deployment of Ganesh Action Teams, additional manpower for sanitation, mobile toilets and drinking water points.
Departments were directed to complete pending works such as tree pruning, road repairs and street lighting on priority, and to ensure close coordination for a smooth and incident‑free festival.
