GHMC Recovers, Re-Installs Stolen Litter Bins on Kacheguda Station Road Following Report
The inspection followed a Deccan Chronicle report published on August 6 about alleged damage and misuse of GHMC litter bins in the Lingampally-Kacheguda area.
Hyderabad:The GHMC said that it had found some litterbins on the Kacheguda Station Road with a shopkeeper. The corporation GHMC recovered and re-installed litter bins after an inspection.
The inspection followed a Deccan Chronicle report published on August 6 about alleged damage and misuse of GHMC litter bins in the Lingampally-Kacheguda area. The report had referred to allegations that municipal workers had damaged usable bins.
During the inspection, officials found the bins away from their designated location. Officials recovered the bins along with their supporting frame, which the corporation said was GHMC property. They were then re-installed at their original, publicly accessible location on Kacheguda Station Road.
Sanitation staff and supervisory personnel were present during the re-installation. GHMC said staff were instructed to keep the bins properly maintained and take immediate action if similar incidents occur again.
