HYDERABAD: Traffic restrictions are being imposed within the Cyberabad limits for a period of 90 days. The restrictions have been introduced in view of the construction work for a multilevel flyover and underpass at the IIIT junction. The restrictions will come into effect from October 27. The road from DLF Gate No. 1 to the Gachibowli traffic police station has been closed. Alternative routes have been provided: Traffic will move from Radisson Hotel via DLF towards the IIIT junction, and from the Gachibowli traffic police station via the DLF building towards the Radisson Hotel junction.

Traffic from Radisson Hotel towards the IIIT junction will be permitted only up to DLF Gate No. 1. Movement beyond this gate will be prohibited. Vehicles heading in that direction must proceed via Gachibowli Junction, take a right turn, and travel along the Indiranagar-IIIT junction route. TCS employees may continue to use the Non-SEZ (CMC) gate for their regular entry and exit. Traffic arriving from the direction of Lingampally towards DLF Road will be diverted at the Gachibowli traffic police station. Such traffic should proceed via the IIIT Junction and Gachibowli Junction, turn left to reach the Radisson Junction, and then take another left turn to arrive at the DLF area.

As the flyover construction work is likely to continue for at least a year, traffic congestion is expected at the IIIT junction and its surrounding areas. Commuters, including IT employees who travel through this area regularly, will have to use the diverted routes.
