Five Held in Jubilee Hills with 1.25 Litres of Hash Oil Worth ₹16 Lakh
Three peddlers and two consumers nabbed by Task Force; main supplier from Odisha absconding
Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force, Secunderabad Zone, along with Jubilee Hills police, arrested three drug peddlers and two consumers and seized 1.25 litres of hash oil worth ₹16 lakh during a raid in Jubilee Hills.
The accused were apprehended near Road No. 10, towards Simply South restaurant, within the limits of Jubilee Hills police station. The arrested peddlers have been identified as Bonangi Chinnayya Padal (24), Padamatiniti Bharath Kumar (23), and Mohammad Shoaib (20). The two consumers were identified as Bogam Kalyan Teja (22) and Tudapalli Uday Kumar (25).
Police said Bharath Kumar and Shoaib were involved in procuring and selling hash oil in the city to make easy money. In June 2026, Shoaib allegedly funded Bharath Kumar to purchase 600 ml of hash oil from Chinnayya Padal in Andhra Pradesh. The contraband was repackaged into small containers of around 4 ml each and sold for ₹3,000 per unit.
In July, the duo reportedly ordered another consignment of 1 litre, which was delivered to Hyderabad. Acting on credible information, police intercepted them and seized 75 small containers of hash oil along with four mobile phones and a two-wheeler.
Further investigation led to the apprehension of two consumers linked to the case. Police said the main supplier, identified as Lobby from Odisha, is absconding.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of DCP Task Force Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, along with officials from the Secunderabad Task Force and Jubilee Hills police.
