Father, Son Repairing Farm Motor Die Of Electrocution

A father and his 25-year-old son died after suffering electric shocks while attempting to repair an agricultural motor at their field in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.

A father and his son died of electrocution while attempting to repair an agricultural motor in Malhar mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on Thursday evening.

The dead have been identified as Kattekola Bapu, 50, and his son Mahesh, 25, residents of Marwadipalli in Gangaram village of Kataram mandal. The incident occurred at their agricultural field near the Road Dam on the outskirts of Kondampet.

According to preliminary information, the motor had stopped working. The duo went to the field to repair it. Mahesh suffered an electric shock while repairing the motor and Bapu rushed to his aid. Both got electrocuted and died at the spot.

When the father and son failed to return home, family members searched for them. On Friday morning, relatives found their bodies in the field. They alerted Koyyur police.

Police conducted a preliminary investigation and shifted the bodies to a hospital for postmortem.
