Excise Department Employee Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances

A 41-year-old junior assistant with the excise department died while undergoing treatment at Kamareddy Government Hospital. Police registered a case following his mother’s complaint and began an investigation.

An excise department employee died under suspicious circumstances in Kamareddy town on Friday.

Mamidi Anil Kumar, 41, a resident of Kalki Nagar in Kamareddy, was working as a junior assistant at the Domakonda excise station.

According to reports, Anil Kumar suddenly fell seriously ill at his residence on Friday. He was shifted to the government general hospital in a 108 ambulance, where he died while undergoing treatment.

His mother, Indira, expressed suspicion over his death. Based on her complaint, Devunipalli police registered a case and began an investigation.

Anil Kumar is survived by his wife, Neeraja, and three children. His body was shifted to the Kamareddy Government Hospital mortuary for further procedures.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Kamareddy DSP S. Madhusudan said the police would investigate the death thoroughly.
