Drug Peddler, Transporter Held By H-NEW

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), in coordination with Hussainialam police, arrested a drug peddler and an interstate transporter, seizing 120 grams of OG (hydroponic cannabis), five grams of cocaine and 27 LSD blots, all worth Rs 13.24 lakh.

On July 27, Saif, while attempting to flee from H-NEW, hit two constables. Inspector K. Rangaiah narrowly escaped while constable Mahender Yadav suffered a leg injury, and Armed Reserve constable Vamshidhar sustained minor injuries.
Afzalgunj police booked Saif under charges of attempt to murder, assaulting a police officer on duty, and rash and negligent driving.
During interrogation, Saif allegedly admitted to engaging in the drugs trade to fund his habits. He procured the contraband from his associate Aditya, a resident of Mumbai who is absconding, and supplied it in Hyderabad through Waghela.
Investigations showed Waghela acted as an intermediary in the supply chain on behalf of Aditya. Saif distributed the consignments to consumers in the twin cities through his local network.
