Doctors, Experts To Guide Parents on Autism Care
Autism awareness programmes set for April 2 in Nizamabad to support parents
Nizamabad: Awareness programmes on autism will be conducted on April 2 as part of World Autism Awareness Day, said Sneha Society for Rural Reconstruction representative S Siddaiah. The event will be organised jointly by the society and the Nizamabad branch of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics.
Among those expected to attend are Satya Swami, president of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, secretary Srikanth, treasurer Deepak Rathod, paediatrician Rajendra Surinidu and psychiatrist Rajasekhar.
They will guide parents on the care of children with developmental and behavioural conditions.
District welfare officer Padma and representatives of the Sneha Society, including its secretary and principal, will also participate. The programme will focus on awareness and parental support on autism care.
