Dharani Land Scam: CID Arrests 5 More after Statewide Raids

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) carried out raids across the State in connection with Dharani portal land scam.
Fifteen teams conducted raids at the houses of portal developers, operators and document writers in Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Hyderabad, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Jangoan, Siddipet and Medchal districts.
Following the raids, the CID arrested five people. With this, the number of people, who were arrested in the scam, went up to nine. The CID sleuths produced the arrested persons before the court in Sangareddy district after which they were remanded to judicial custody.
The portal was launched on October 29, 2020 during the BRS regime.
