Presence of houseflies and cockroaches, mould growth, water stagnation, rusty equipment and poor drainage were among the violations found during inspections of 20 dairy units by the Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE).

Ten enforcement teams comprising food safety officers and police personnel inspected the units in the core urban region and adjoining districts. Eighteen samples were collected on suspicion of adulteration.

Improvement notices will be issued to 10 establishments, including Federated White Nectar Private Limited at Injapur, Shanthi Farm and Agri Products at Palmakole, Dairy Spot at Bairamalguda, Sri Laxmi Narsimha Milk Traders at Karmanghat, Hatsun Dairy at Kadthal, Arvais Nature Products at Batasingaram, Nature Farm at Gudur, VK Dairy Essential at Muchintal, Sri Geetha Milk Traders and Processing Unit at Nadergul and Sids Farm at Shabad.

Venkata Shiva Milk Point at Hayathnagar was closed for operating without an FSSAI licence under unhygienic conditions. Show‑cause notices will be issued to Saritha Dairy at Jillelaguda, Sri Sai Dairy Products at Almasguda and Milky Plus Foods (Gayathri Dairy) at Nandigama.

TG SAFE also suspended the FSSAI licences of Sapthagiri Foods at Sagar Road, Karmanghat, and All Rich Dairy at Pasumamula, directing them to stop operations immediately.
