The system allows officers to access files anytime and from anywhere, ensuring continuity in work and better coordination between departments. By standardising procedures and reducing paperwork, the platform is expected to save time and improve resource management.
Hyderabad: e-Office system was launched on Monday at the Cyberabad Police Commissioner’s office. Cyberabad police commissioner Dr M. Ramesh, while launching the project, said, it would be a major step towards paperless work and digital governance.
The event was held in the Commissioner’s chamber in the presence of DCP (crimes) Muthyam Reddy and DCP (cybercrimes) Y.V.S. Sudheendra and others. Speaking further, the commissioner said the e-Office system would help in improving efficiency, accountability, and transparency in daily office work.
The CP said, “The e-Office platform is a workflow-based digital system that mirrors traditional file movement while reducing manual work. It covers file registration, creation, movement, tracking, and storage of records. The system enables real-time file tracking, securing data handling, quicker decision making, and also reducing delays caused by physical movement of file.”
The system allows officers to access files anytime and from anywhere, ensuring continuity in work and better coordination between departments. By standardising procedures and reducing paperwork, the platform is expected to save time and improve resource management.
Telangana government has directed all departments to implement e-Office as part of the paperless governance under the National e-Governance Plan. Officials said training and technical support would be provided to ensure smooth adoption of the system across all units.
