Congress Marks 1,000 Days In Office, Leaders Hail Telangana Government

Hyderabad: Congress leader Motha Rohit on Wednesday hailed the Revanth Reddy-led government in Telangana for completing 1000 days in office, stating that the party had delivered development to the state. The Congress government in Telangana completed 1000 days in power on Tuesday.

Citing an example, Rohit said that the Moosarambagh flyover in Amberpet began under Kiran Kumar Reddy's government, but was halted under the BRS government. He said that the flyover was finally inaugurated by CM Revanth Reddy on Tuesday.

Motha Rohit told ANI, "It has been a thousand days since the Congress party came to power in this state, and during this period, the party has implemented programs delivering the kind of development that would typically take a thousand years. I won't look too far afield; let me give you a small example."

"Just yesterday, the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the Moosarambagh flyover in the Amberpet constituency. The Congress party was in power in this state until 2014. When Kiran Kumar Reddy was Chief Minister, a temporary bridge was constructed at Golnaka to facilitate the building of the new Moosarambagh bridge," he said.

The Congress leader added, "Subsequently, the Congress government left office; the state of Telangana was formed, and the KCR administration took over. KCR served as Chief Minister of Telangana for ten years, and his son, KTR, served as the Municipal Minister; yet, in those ten years, the Moosarambagh bridge was never built. In just two years, since the Congress party returned to power, the Moosarambagh bridge has been completed, bringing immense benefits to the people of Amberpet, Moosarambagh, Malakpet, and all of Hyderabad."

Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao urged the opposition parties to discuss 1000 days of the government in the upcoming Assembly. He said, "The Assembly session will start on September 7. The Opposition leaders should come to the House and take part in discussions on what the government has done in the last 1000 days."Earlier today, Telangana BJP put up posters against the Congress government in the State at several places in Hyderabad, criticising the government over the completion of its 1000 days in the state.Several posters were put up at prominent locations, including the TPCC headquarters, the Telangana Assembly, the Telangana Chief Minister's residence, and other places.The posters showed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with a bag of money, while the public stood empty-handed.The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has launched a separate statewide campaign to expose what it describes as the Congress government's betrayal of the people.
