Congress government conspires to withdraw Rythu Bandhu: KTR
He said that the Aarogyasri scheme would remind the people of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and Rythu Bandhu of Chandrashekar Rao
Nalgonda: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday alleged that the Congress government was conspiring to withdraw Rythu Bandhu (now upgraded as Rythu Bharosa), which was the brain child of then Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
He said that the Aarogyasri scheme would remind the people of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and Rythu Bandhu of Chandrashekar Rao.
“As part of a conspiracy of Revanth Reddy to remove the mark of KCR, an effort is going on to withdraw the Rythu Bandhu scheme, he said, while speaking the party’s Rythu Maha Dharna in Nalgonda.
He alleged that the Congress government had deposited Rythu Bandhu funds to get votes in the Lok Sabha elections. It had taken up Rythu Bharosa with an eye on the local bodies polls.
Rama Rao said he would quit politics, if Revanth Reddy proved that crop loans of all the farmers in any village had been waived. He said that bankers had put the crop loans at Rs 49,500 crore for waiver. In June, the government reduced the amount to Rs 26,000 crore. Of this, only about Rs 12,000 crore of crop loans were waived, he alleged.
Rama Rao said that 410 farmers, 1,000 autorickshaw drivers and 35 weavers had died by suicide in 400 days of the Congress government. He also held the state government responsible for death of 55 students of government residential schools.
