Hyderabad: The Telangana Government Doctors Association (TGGDA) has urged the state government to expedite the completion of the administrative structure of the Directorate of Secondary Health (DSH) and resolve long-pending service matters concerning doctors.

The government, through the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP) Repeal Act, has established the DSH as a head of department (HoD). It delegated financial powers to the directorate through GO Ms. No. 72 of the finance (TFR) department. Against this backdrop, the association appealed to the government to make the DSH fully operational by completing its administrative framework and ensuring the early disposal of service matters of doctors.

TGGDA also noted that the proposal for promotions under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) and the Directorate of Health (DH) had reached its final stages and requested the government to complete the process in two days. The association expressed the hope that, in the same spirit, promotions of DSH doctors, sanction of special increments, and other pending service matters would also be completed.

The association asked the DSH name to be uniformly used across all official records, websites, and administrative orders. It further stated that appointing either a permanent director or at least an incharge head would significantly strengthen administration and facilitate faster resolution of doctors' service-related issues.
