Hyderabad: Only about one lakh voters from Telangana filled the enumeration forms online during the ongoing special intensive revision of electoral roll. Residents have till July 24 to opt for online filling of the form.

Officials informed voters whose names match in the Aadhaar card and the Voter ID can fill the enumeration form online. Those who could not physically fill in the form owing to reasons such as staying abroad, can log on to the citizen service portal voters.eci.gov.in and complete the process. “During the enumeration phase, if the voter is temporarily not available, the online enumeration form can be downloaded and submitted online,” officials explained.

In the website, the option is listed below ‘SIR – 2026’ on the top left, along with ‘Search Your Name in the Last SIR’. Once the voter completes the ‘Fill Enumeration Form’, the login dialogue box appears with options for entering ‘Mobile No. / EPIC No.’ and request for OTP amongst other options.

The voter’s mobile number must be linked to the Voter ID (EPIC). If it is not, voters must first fill out Form 8 on the same portal to update the mobile number instantly.

“Once you enter the EPIC number, you will get the OTP on the registered number linked to Aadhaar. After filling in the enumeration form and completion of the authentication with Aadhaar, it will be considered as an e-sign. This will be reflected in the booth level official’s app who will update the data,” the official said.
