Civil Supplies Dept Commences Distribution of PDS Rice From July 1
According to officials, the department was ensuring immediate foodgrain access for more 1.06 lakh families covering 3.41 crore beneficiaries.
Hyderabad:The civil supplies department will commenced its July food grain distribution drive from Wednesday. The department said it had a ready stock of 2.15 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) positioned across fair price shops statewide. The distribution will resume after a two month gap, after the earlier distribution of ration of three months in one go in April.

Civil supplies commissioner M. Stephen Raveendra directed that digital transactions and biometric authentications to be closely monitored in real time. Officials said fair price shops were utilising electronic point of sale (ePoS) systems, guaranteeing zero supply diversions and transparency for the public.
