Hyderabad: Telangana minister Jupally Krishna Rao, joined by ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Vakiti Srihari at Gandhi Bhavan, launched a strong attack on BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), accusing him of trying to salvage his party's dwindling reputation.

Jupally dismissed KCR's recent statements about "I will skin them," asserting that the BRS is already severely weakened. "KCR talks about skinning, but his party has already weakened—its muscles have melted, and only the skin remains," he said.
The minister challenged KCR's focus on the Palamuru project, calling it a political maneuver rather than a genuine concern. Jupally alleged that despite ruling for 10 years and accumulating an ₹8 lakh crore debt, KCR failed to irrigate a single acre, leaving even the main canals unfinished. He claimed KCR’s 2023 dedication of the project was merely symbolic—switching on a motor without securing necessary water allocations or permissions.
Jupally outlined the current government's approach, noting that ₹40,000–₹50,000 crore is still required for completion. He clarified that Supreme Court permission was secured for drinking water, not irrigation. He highlighted Telangana's rightful share per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act: 299 TMC out of 811 TMC shared by both states, yet Andhra Pradesh has utilized 512 TMC for the past decade.
