BJP Will Emerge as Telangana’s Main Political Force in Next Decade, Claims Party Chief Ramchander Rao
Rao said the BJP would contest the Telangana elections alone, given the local political dynamics.
Hyderabad:BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao claimed that his party would emerge as principal political force in Telangana over the next 10 years. He said the BJP had established 35,000 booth committees with the main agenda of bringing the party to power in the 2028-29 Assembly elections.
Taking part in a conclave, Rao said that the people were dissatisfied with the Congress and the BRS, and public confidence in the BJP was rising steadily. Rao promised that under the “double-engine” model, the party would ensure full delivery of welfare schemes in Telangana and said that housing, healthcare, education and poverty alleviation would be the priority areas.
Rao said the BJP would contest the Telangana elections alone, given the local political dynamics. He accused the government of failing to procure paddy on time despite the Centre increasing the minimum support price (MSP). He alleged that middlemen, rice millers and commission agents were causing losses to cultivators and criticised the state’s procurement system.
Responding to controversy relating to the son of Union minister of state Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Rao said if wrongdoing occurred, impartial police investigation and legal action must follow and the party stood with the victim.
