Bhupalpally: A team of 180 trainee Group-I and Group-II officers visited the historic Sri Bhavani Sahita Ganapeswara Swamy temple complex at Kotagullu in Ghanapur mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on Saturday.
The officers, undergoing training at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute in Hyderabad, visited the temple complex, known for its Kakatiya-era architecture, sculptures and stone carvings.
The officers learnt about the historical significance of the temple complex and appreciated its architectural style and intricate stone carvings.
They said the visit provided an opportunity to witness the historical heritage of the Kakatiya period.
Yadagiri Goud explained the historical significance of the temple complex to the visiting officers.
Tourism department officials and archaeology department security personnel and revenue staff accompanied the team.
