Bandi says Centre monitoring situation, all help will be provided

Hyderabad: Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday said the Centre was keenly monitoring the situation at the SLBC project where a portion of the tunnel collapsed in the morning.
The Union home ministry had set up a control room and was monitoring the situation to extend all possible help to the state government’s rescue efforts, Sanjay said, All help will be provided to the state from the Centre for the rescue operations, he said.
The Centre had deployed four teams of the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) with necessary equipment. Army personnel from the engineering regiment along with excavator dozers had been placed on standby at Secunderabad and would be deployed at short notice whenever requisitioned by the state administration, he said.
