HYDERABAD: Commissioner’s task force, Rajendranagar zone along with the CDSO team raided a beauty emporium and a medical shop and booked five persons for selling and distributing unauthorised cosmetic products, suspected to have been imported from Pakistan.
The teams conducted raids on Beauty Ladies Emporium, Beauty Queen Shop and SJ Medical Shop, Habeebnagar and seized Rs 7 lakh worth cosmetic products imported from Pakistan, K. Sreenivas Rao, additional DCP said.
The seized products included beauty creams and soaps marketed for skin-whitening purposes, which were found to be manufactured in Pakistan and allegedly imported into India without the required authorisation and registration, Sreenivas said.

The products were subsequently verified by the concerned CDSCO officials for further legal action. The authorities served notices to the distributors and sellers named Md Fazal, Mohammad Ayan, Mohammed Riyazuddin, Syed Abid Ali and Syed Ismail.
