Addl ₹40 Cr To Be Released For Godavari Pushkaralu Works
The Telangana government will release an additional ₹40 crore for VIP ghats, bypass roads and other Godavari Pushkaralu works in Dharmapuri.
Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar said the state government had already allocated ₹117 crore to Dharmapuri constituency for arrangements for the Godavari Pushkaralu next year and would release an additional ₹40 crore, following his request, for the construction of VIP pushkar ghats, bypass roads and other works.
Laxman Kumar held a review meeting with officials on the development of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Dharmapuri on Saturday. He said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was taking steps for the development of temples from Basara to Bhadrachalam.
Funds had also been allocated for the development of shrines at Basara, Kaleshwaram, Bhadrachalam and Dharmapuri, he said.
The minister said the Ugra Narasimha Swamy temple at Dharmapuri would be developed in accordance with Agama Shastra and that ₹10 crore had been earmarked for renovation of the shrine.
As the development of the Yoga Narasimha Swamy temple was under the purview of the Central government, the State government was initially focusing on the Ugra Narasimha Swamy shrine, he said.
Endowments department commissioner M. Hanumantha Rao, additional collector B. Raja Goud, RDO P. Madhusudhan, temple executive officer Srinivas, district libraries chairman Sanganabatla Dinesh and others attended the review meeting.
