HYDERABAD: The mock seat allotment for engineering admissions was released on Saturday, with 79,313 candidates securing seats in the first phase of TG EAPCET‑2026 web‑based counselling. A total of 88,062 candidates exercised options for 88,053 seats across 175 engineering colleges. Of these, 79,313 were allotted, leaving 8,740 seats vacant after the mock round.
Officials said 8,740 candidates who participated in the web options did not receive allotment. As many as 6,261 candidates secured seats under the economically weaker section quota. The mock allotment is intended to help candidates estimate the probability of securing a seat based on rank, category, gender and options exercised.
Candidates not satisfied with the mock allotment can modify their seat and college preferences between July 5 and July 7, ahead of the first phase provisional allotment. Allotments under sports and NCC quotas will be taken up in later rounds after priority lists are received from the respective departments.
