4-Member Panel To Probe Land Irregularities Linked To KCR

Telangana govt forms 4-member panel to probe 16 cases of alleged land irregularities, including properties linked to former CM K Chandrasekhara Rao.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government formally constituted a four-member committee to inquire into the alleged land irregularities and violations by BRS leaders, including 16 properties linked to former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, K.T. Rama Rao, T. Harish Rao and other political leaders. The committee was constituted vide G.O.Ms.No.134 issued on Wednesday.

Commissioner of Collegiate and Technical Education A. Sridevasena has been appointed Chairperson of the committee, while Special Secretary to Government (Registrations and Stamps) Rajeevgandhi Hanumanthu will be the convenor. Jangaon Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha is a member and Sandeep Kumar Jha, Collector, Jangaon District and Collector of the district concerned, will also be a member of the panel while dealing with matters relating to villages in that district.

The panel was constituted after a short discussion was initiated in the Legislative Assembly on issues relating to Section 22-A of the Registration Act on September 16, which required further administrative action.

Accordingly, the government decided to constitute the committee to enquire into irregularities and issues about lands in certain villages across various districts. The committee has been tasked with examining any violations of statutes, Acts, rules, government orders, and related instructions concerning the lands listed by the government.

The details of the land parcels are given below, as mentioned in the G.O.Ms.No.134.

All departments and authorities concerned have been directed to extend full cooperation and furnish the required information promptly. The committee has been asked to submit its report to the government expeditiously and may submit interim reports on specific issues.
