290 Encroachments Cleared in Cyberabad to Ensure Public Space for Citizens

Hyderabad: Continuing its weekly walk free initiative, the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation’s (CMC) here on Friday carried out encroachments removal drive across identified stretches in all three zones, helping reclaim roads, footpaths and public spaces for pedestrians.

In all, 290 encroachments were removed across 14.1 km. As many as 84 encroachments were cleared in Serilingampally zone covering Narsingi, Ameenpur, Miyapur and Serilingampally, 55 were removed in Kukatpally zone covering Madhapur, Allwyn Colony, Kukatpally and Moosapet

Around 150 encroachments were removed in Quthbullapur zone covering Chintal, Jeedimetla, Kompally, Gajularamaram, Nizampet, Dundigal and Medchal. Along with the removal drive, the CMC teams will continue monitoring cleared stretches to prevent re-encroachment and keep reclaimed public spaces available for public use.

Officials said the drive to ensure walk free would continue across Cyberabad keeping roads and footpaths clear, accessible and safer for everyone.
