1,000 Parents, Students, Faculty Attend Samanvaya 2026 At St Joseph’s Degree And PG College
Hyderabad Archdiocese Education Society vice-chairman Msg. Y. Balashowry said education should focus on shaping individuals and urged students to uphold discipline, integrity and commitment while developing confidence, competence and character.
Hyderabad: Nearly 1,000 parents, students and faculty attended Samanvaya 2026, the parent–college interface organised by St Joseph’s Degree and PG College on Thursday to familiarise new students with the institution’s academic environment, support systems and expectations.
Addressing the gathering, Fr Praveen Henry D’Souza, parish priest of St Francis of Assisi Church, Ramnagar, and an alumnus of the college, urged parents to guide their children while giving them the freedom to make responsible decisions and encouraged students to choose wisdom in life.

College Principal Fr Anthony Sagayaraja outlined the institution’s academic vision and this year’s theme, ‘Sustainable excellence through inclusion, innovation and institutional values’. He informed students about new programmes in commerce and management and explained the importance of maintaining the dress code, 75 per cent attendance and participation in academic and co-curricular activities. He also spoke about facilities such as guest lectures, attendance SMS alerts to parents, stress-management support and wheelchair accessibility.
