CHENNAI: We CAN, one of India’s early autism services organisations, marked its 25th anniversary in Chennai with a celebration attended by former BJP Tamil Nadu president K. Annamalai as chief guest.
Founded in 2001 by Dr Gita Sankaran, We CAN has expanded its services over the years to include diagnostic support, early intervention, parent counselling and training, individualised intervention and life and independent-living skills programs.
Annamalai interacted with the children, young adults and their families during the event.
“Twenty-five years later, our commitment remains to recognise the potential of every individual and create meaningful opportunities for learning, independence and a fulfilling life,” said Gita.
