Vijay Describes Pain of Karur Stampede as Indelible

Chennai: Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Sunday paid homage to the victims of Karur stampede on the first anniversary of the incident and said it had left an indelible scar and enduring pain in his life.
In a social media post, the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) leader said the incident has led to unhealed pain and anguish for him and the people of Karur and Tamil Nadu. “We are carrying an inexpressible sorrow. We should be the support and comfort to the relatives of those who are carrying the memories of the victims in their hearts, he said. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to all relatives of victims who live in the memories.
The TVK also held a function at Karur lighting candles in the memory of those who lost their lives in Karur stampede. Former minister M.R. Vijayabhaskar and a large number of people took part in the function.
