Veeramani Does Not Deserve Sympathy: Pon Radhakrishnan

Tiruchy: Senior BJP leader Pon. Radhakrishnan has said it is not proper to accuse a particular state government in the Gem Granites Veeramani issue as this crime was going on for early 50 years and he may have been involved in sex work and doers not deserve sympathy. The government must take strict action.
He was addressing the media at Seerathope near Tiruchy on Friday after the unveiling of Hindu Munnani leader Ramagopalan's statue.
He said the issue of the Chief Election Commissioner is currently before the Supreme Court and we cannot comment on it now. ''I have contested in 10 parliamentary elections and won only two. Can I ask for re-election in the eight constituencies where I lost''? he asked.
Asked about social justice minister Vanniarasu's decision to consider providing beef to hostel students, he replied that the minister might have taken a contract and so the Chief Minister must order an investigation into this. ''Today people from all communities consume beef. However, what the minister says is a different matter. His remarks tend to demean a community. He is unfit a minister for the department of social justice,'' Radhakrishnan added.
