SSF Announces Short Film Contest for College Students
The short films shall be based on any one of the themes including the Role of men in women’s safety, Bystander intervention and Role of society in preventing crimes against women and children.
Chennai: The Singappen Special Force (SSF) is organising a State-level short film competition for the university and college students across Tamil Nadu to create wider awareness on the safety and security of women and children across Tamil Nadu.
The competition aims to sensitise the youth and encourage them to recognise their role and responsibility in ensuring the safety of women and children and in preventing crimes against them, a press release from the DGP office here said.
The short films shall be based on any one of the themes including the Role of men in women’s safety, Bystander intervention and Role of society in preventing crimes against women and children. The short films shall be in Tamil and shall not exceed 2 minutes in duration. Participation shall be either individual or in teams of not more than 5 members.
Participants shall submit a valid bonafide certificate from the concerned institution and the duly completed registration Google form, along with their short film in the link: “https://bit.ly/SSF-ShortFilmCompetition”. The last date for submission of entries is October 10. The first prize would be Rs. 50,000. Besides, Rs. 25,000 as second prize and Rs. 15,000 as the third prize would be awarded.
