Showers Cool Hills as Tourists Flock for Autumn Season
The inflow of tourist vehicles has been choking the flow of traffic in the arterial roads and the roads leading to the famed tourist spots.
Ooty: Thanks to the extended weekend due to Ganesh Chathurthi holiday, the hills began to witness a huge inflow of tourists. This indicates that the autumn tourists are back in the hills cheered by the season's showers.
Since last Thursday evening, a large number of tourist vehicles made a beeline to the hills bringing cheers to the travel and tourism industry which is looking for a productive autumn tourist season that generally brings more tourists, next to the popular summer season.

All the major tourist spots such as the Government Botanical Garden, Government Rose Garden, Boat House and Doddabetta peak were crowded bringing a festive atmosphere to the hills where tourism is a major lifeline for many families.
The autumn showers for the past few days brought a cool atmosphere to the hills. The stakeholders in the tourism industry hoped that the tourist inflow will see an upward trend and continue till the Deepavali weekend in November.
