512 Temporary Vacancies of Nurses in GCC, Govt Hospitals to be Filled

Chennai: The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) will fill 512 vacant temporary nursing posts in its hospitals and government hospitals in the city through the Chennai City Urban Health Society, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the state government.

GCC Commissioner G.S. Sameeran said candidates aged 50 years or below with either a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma or BSc Nursing degree are eligible to apply. The qualification should have been obtained from a government or government-recognised private nursing college approved by the Indian Nursing Council.

Registration with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council is mandatory. Application forms and detailed guidelines can be downloaded from the GCC website and the National Health Mission–Tamil Nadu website.

Completed applications, along with self-attested copies of the required certificates and documents, should reach the Medical Officer of Health/Member Secretary, Chennai City Urban Health Society, Public Health Department, 3rd Floor, Amma Maaligai, Ripon Buildings, EVR Periyar Salai, Chennai-600003, by 5 pm on September 25, 2026.
