Chennai:Former State Minister P Thiaga Rajan, who lost the recent Assembly elections from Madurai Central constituency after serving as an MLA there for 10 years, is taking a break from politics, hoping to return, recharged and refreshed.

In 'a long note, after a lot of reflection, and before a short break,' put up on X on Monday, Thiaga Rajan, endearingly referred to as PTR, recalled the work that he had done during the last two terms as MLA in the constituency making it clear that he never paid voters for getting their support.

He said that he would be writing a book, to be published by Harper Collins, and hoped to ‘focus on a more regular schedule and improved lifestyle to further improve his health.
