Man Assaults Grandmother, Demands Money To Buy Liquor

Police arrested Viji (34) for allegedly beating his grandmother Palaniammal (82) to death in Salem after demanding money to buy alcohol in Salem.

Viji allegedly assaulted Palaniammal. Without knowing that Palaniammal had died, Viji allegedly removed the thali chain from her neck and left the house. Relatives found her dead in the morning. Kondalampatti police arrested Viji.
