Karnataka Cricket Teams In New Jersey For 2026-27 Season

BENGALURU: Marking a new chapter in Karnataka cricket, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) on Thursday announced a new partnership for the Karnataka State Cricket teams with Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Limited (KSTDC) and the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).
The partnership was formally announced at a ceremony at M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru where a new jersey was unveiled for Karnataka State Teams for 2026-27 season.
The partnership brought together 3 important pillars of Karnataka-sport, tourism and power infrastructure to reflect a shared commitment towards promoting sporting excellence, strengthening Karnataka’s cricketing ecosystem and showcasing the State and its institutions on a wider platform.
The new jersey was unveiled by Minister of Energy and Tourism K.J. George. He was joined by cricketers Mayank Agarwal, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Karun Nair. The new jersey gives more than a fresh sporting identity for Karnataka’s teams. It symbolises a new beginning and a meaningful association between Karnataka cricket and Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Limited (KSTDC) and the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).
A released by Karnataka State Cricket Association spokesperson Vinay Mruthyunjaya stated through this partnership, the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Limited will have an opportunity to showcase Karnataka’s rich tourism potential through the powerful platform of cricket, while the KSCA with Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited reflects the support of one the State’s key infrastructure institutions towards Karnataka’s sporting ecosystem.
Vinay stated that the partnerships of this nature play an important role in further strengthening domestic cricket and providing sustained support to players and teams across various age groups and formats. KSCA President and former cricketer Venkatesh Prasad was present.
