Hotel In Bengaluru’s MS Building Closed Over Unhygienic Conditions
A hotel in Bengaluru’s Multi-Storeyed Building was closed after food safety officials found unhygienic conditions, while expired food products were also seized from a Vidhana Soudha canteen.
A hotel located in Multi-Storeyed Building in Bengaluru city, close to Vidhana Soudha, was closed after checks on food safety by officials concerned of Health and Family Welfare, Food Safety Division of the Food Safety and Drug Administration found unhygienic conditions.
Acting swiftly, the food business operator submitted an undertaking to the officials concerned stating that the deficiencies identified by the inspecting officials will be rectified in coming days. However, officials concerned stated to initiate measures to re-open the hotel after permission from the Commissioner of Food Safety and Drug Administration, Bengaluru. The Commissioner of Food Safety and Drug Administration stated in a release on Wednesday that the Food Business Operator will face action.
The ongoing checks on food safety by officials concerned of Health and Family Welfare, Food Safety Division of the Food Safety and Drug Administration in Bengaluru on Wednesday detected expired food products such as Suji Rava of 500 grams and Cococant powder of 500 grams at a canteen located in the premises of Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru.
Even the food serving outlets in the premises Arogya Soudha, Legislature House, Vidhana Soudha, Vikasa Soudha and multi-storeyed building premises came under inspections by the officials concerned.
The expired food products were seized by officials concerned and served a notice on the operator over unhygienic conditions observed. Officials concerned assured to register a case for initiating further legal action by the Adjudicating Officer.
Later the inspection at a Nandini Parlour in the premises, officials concerned observed food safety violations relating to labelling requirements and accordingly an advisory notice was served on the operator.
Inspections at four hotels in Arogya Soudha, Legislature House, Vidhana Soudha, Vikasa Soudha and multi-storeyed building premises, officials came across various deficiencies and advisory notices were served on them.
