Hyderabad: The YSR Congress approached the NHRC alleging anarchic governance and human rights violations in Andhra Pradesh, citing attacks on former ministers and the killing of Dalit activist Salman.
A memorandum in this regard was also submitted to the NHRC. Responding to the memorandum, NHRC Chairperson Justice V. Ramasubramanian indicated a report would be sought from the DGP and a possible fact-finding visit. The YSRCP sought urgent intervention to restore law and order and ensure accountability.
