YSRC Marks Jagan’s Birthday with Grand Celebrations in Nellore
Party leaders, cadres and supporters gathered in large numbers, creating a festive atmosphere
Nellore: Nellore witnessed grand celebrations on Sunday as the YSRC marked the birthday of former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy with enthusiasm and large public participation. The programme was held at the YSRC district office under the leadership of former minister and YSRC Nellore district president Dr Kakani Govardhan Reddy.
Party leaders, cadres and supporters gathered in large numbers, creating a festive atmosphere. Zilla Parishad chairperson Anam Arunamma, YSRC state women’s wing working president Kakani Poojitha, presidents of affiliated organisations, party leaders, activists and admirers of Jagan Mohan Reddy took part in the celebrations.
As part of the programme, sarees, blankets and umbrellas were distributed to the poor, and an annadanam (community feast) was organised, reflecting the party’s emphasis on welfare and social service.
Addressing the gathering, Kakani said Jagan Mohan Reddy had earned a permanent place in people’s hearts through his values and credibility, while delivering welfare and development even during challenging times such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
He highlighted reforms in agriculture, education, healthcare and infrastructure, citing the completion of the Sangam and Nellore barrages, transformation of government schools under the Nadu–Nedu programme, progress on the Ramayapatnam Port and Juvvaladinne Fishing Harbour, support to fishermen, commissioning of the third unit of the Damodaram Sanjeevaiah Thermal Power Station, and initiatives such as village secretariats, Rythu Bharosa Kendras and YSR Health Clinics.
Speakers expressed confidence that people were keenly awaiting Jagan Mohan Reddy’s return to power and extended heartfelt birthday wishes, praying for his long life and continued leadership.
