CM Naidu Stresses on Emotional Control
In a lighter vein, Naidu noted that even some officials and party members appear to be “losing balance” and joked about organising yoga and meditation sessions for them.
Nellore: In a blend of humour and governance, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday cautioned people against excessive consumption of crime shows, saying it may disturb mental well-being.
Addressing a public gathering at Vinjamoor in SPSR Nellore district, he quipped that binge-watching TV programmes like “Neralu-Ghoralu” could affect emotional balance. “Instead of solving crimes on TV, people are losing control over their own emotions,” he remarked, drawing laughter.
Highlighting rising impatience in society, Naidu said even minor disputes, such as over small parcels of land, are escalating into serious conflicts. Referring to a recent incident in Mangalagiri, where a trivial quarrel reportedly turned fatal, he stressed how unchecked anger can spiral out of control.
In a lighter vein, he noted that even some officials and party members appear to be “losing balance” and joked about organising yoga and meditation sessions for them.
Urging people to practise meditation for at least 20 minutes daily, the Chief Minister emphasised the importance of emotional control. He added that the government is planning a “Sanjeevini” initiative aimed at promoting public health, beginning with mental well-being.
