VIJAYAWADA: Former MP and YSRC PAC member Talari Rangaiah lambasted the TD-led coalition state government for jeopardising the state’s industrial and social fabric. Speaking at the YSRC central office in Tadepalli, he accused ruling party leaders of extorting industrialists, including Kia in Rayalaseema, by demanding contracts, commissions, and jobs, which could lead to factory closures and relocations.

“This is not Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s promised visionary governance,” Rangaiah said, adding that the government plunders state resources such as sand, quartz, liquor, while stifling wealth creation. He faulted the government for favouring party leaders in welfare schemes, betraying the oath of impartiality.

Rangaiah stated that the number of pension beneficiaries is declining monthly, and field assistants, animators and contractors face removal, contradicting job creation promises by the current government. He contrasted this with YSRC’s transparent welfare initiatives under YS Jagan, which empower the poor through direct benefit transfers that are free of corruption and utilize merit-based systems like the Poverty Identification of Poor (PIP).
