Workshop on Quantum, AI Innovation Centre Held
SRM University vice-chancellor Prof. C.H. Satish Kumar outlined the university’s plans to advance quantum technology initiatives across the campus.
Vijayawada: A workshop of the Quantum and AI Innovation Centre (QIC) was held at SRM University here on Monday under the aegis of the Andhra Pradesh government on the theme, ‘Mentor Mapping, Use Case Allocation and QIC Team Formation’.
Secretary to the Chief Minister Pradyumna P.S. said technology was changing rapidly and threatening jobs, while noting that work could become optional in the future. He called upon people to embrace the changes and said Andhra Pradesh would focus on research and development and global trade under the Make in India initiative. He added that AI and humanity were not adversaries.

Andhra University vice-chancellor Prof. G.P. Raja Sekhar said the workshop was part of a wider effort to redefine technology and would provide young people an opportunity not only to participate but also to innovate. He said students should be asked what problems they wanted to solve rather than what they wanted to do.
