Woman Collapses, Dies Near Tiruchanoor Temple
Police said the exact cause of death was yet to be confirmed
TIRUPATI: A 28-year-old woman from Vijayawada died after collapsing near the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanoor on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Krishnaveni, a resident of Bhavanipuram in Vijayawada. She had come to the temple along with her family members for darshan of Goddess Padmavathi.
According to the TTD vigilance officials, Krishnaveni remained outside the temple premises after feeling unwell while her family members stood in the queue for darshan. She later collapsed near the temple.
Her family members rushed her to a private hospital in Tirupati, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The body was shifted to SVR Ruia government general hospital for post-mortem and other formalities.
Police said the exact cause of death was yet to be confirmed. Doctors were examining whether she died due to a heart attack or a heat-related illness.
Tiruchanoor police registered a case based on a complaint lodged by her husband and took up investigation.
