Vijayawada: Andhra-born politician Dipika Damerla is drawing attention with her unique campaigning style in the mayoral race in Mississauga, Canada.
She recently shared a video on X in which she can be seen singing a modified version of the popular Bollywood song Kya Hua Tera Wada as part of her election campaign.
In the video, Damerla promises voters that property taxes will not increase on the day she becomes the Mayor of Mississauga.
The video concludes with her campaign slogan, “A city that works,” along with an appeal to voters to support her.
According to the City of Mississauga's official website, Damerla served as the Ward 7 councillor in 2018.
