Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga— DC File

A brutal chainsaw attack in Andhra Pradesh has dragged filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga into controversy.

The incident happened at Zilla Parishad High School in Raptadu, where a 21-year-old man entered a Class 10 classroom and attacked a female student with an electric chainsaw. The crime shocked the state.

Soon after, Telugu netizens pointed fingers at Vanga.

A strikingly similar scene in his blockbuster Animal where Ranbir Kapoor storms into a school classroom with a loaded gun.

Social media is now flooded with posts slamming Vanga. Netizens say films have social responsibility and showing extreme violence inside schools as heroic sets a dangerous precedent.

Many users are demanding filmmakers should stop glorifying weapons in classrooms just to build a hero’s image.

Cops are probing the Raptadu case, while Vanga has not yet reacted to the trolling.
