A real estate firm has sparked a controversy by advertising lifetime Srivari VIP break darshan tickets as an incentive for customers buying plots near Tirupati.

Amid complaints that the firm is exploiting the Tirumala temple's name for commercial gain, TTD on Tuesday said the promotional campaign by SCP Developers was misleading the devotees and the devasthanam would file a police complaint. It said strict legal action would be taken for the unauthorised use of TTD's name and the promise of break darshan.

According to TTD, the company circulated social media reels claiming that buyers of its plots along the Tirupati highway would receive lifetime VIP break darshan. The temple body clarified that it has no connection with the firm or its campaign and said no private company or individual has the authority to offer or guarantee break darshan.

TTD said all darshan tickets, services and facilities are provided strictly in accordance with its rules and guidelines.

The temple body urged devotees not to fall for such advertisements, social media reels or commercial promotions. It advised the public to rely only on official TTD announcements, its website and verified social media platforms for information related to Srivari darshan.

TTD Vigilance officials said the firm removed the promotional content from its social media accounts after an inquiry was initiated.
