Vijayawada:The daughter-in-law of former minister and YSRC senior leader Jogi Ramesh has alleged that three attempts were made on her life, according to a complaint lodged by her at the Ibrahimpatnam police station.

In her complaint, Meghana said she married Jogi Ramesh's son, Rajeev, on May 28, 2025, in Suryapet. She alleged that her parents spent ₹5 crore on the wedding and gave 1.5 kg of gold, 10 kg of silver, ₹9 lakh as a ceremonial gift to the groom's sister, and ₹1 lakh to the groom.

Meghana alleged that despite the dowry given at the time of the marriage, her husband's family continued to harass her, demanding an additional ₹5 crore and an expensive car.

She further alleged that the first attempt on her life was made during a trip to Goa on July 4, 2025. The second, she claimed, took place at a farmhouse in Ghatkesar on July 10, 2025, where her husband Rajeev, father-in-law Jogi Ramesh, mother-in-law Shakunthala, brother-in-law Rohith and sister-in-law Reshma Priyank allegedly assaulted her, causing injuries, and attempted to smother her with a pillow.

Meghana alleged that the third attempt occurred on April 13, 2026, when Jogi Ramesh, his brother Ramu and his brother-in-law Swamy allegedly tried to push her from the terrace of a third-floor building. She claimed they questioned her over her intention to disclose Rajeev's health condition and the family's alleged religious conversion. She said she pleaded with them for mercy, following which they allegedly spared her.
